Big clean rooms. Nice sitting area on the ground floor. The owners speak excellent English and are interesting people. Very helpful as is Penny, the lady who works the front office. They all gave good information about Hua Hin in general and specific activities and markets etc. The location is near the beach but away from the crowded area. I look forward to staying there again on my return trip.

The value for money at Captain Joe's is outstanding. Delicious and healthy breakfast provided each morning. Beautiful owners who make you feel welcome. Everything is immaculately clean and well looked after. The hostel itself is located a 10 minute walk from the main Hua Hin beach, right next to the main shops and restaurants, but in a quiet part of town. The owners helped book a car back to Bangkok for my wife and I and provided recommendations on where to go around Hua Hin. The wildlife photography on the wall is also really beautiful and the bed is incredibly comfortable. We also did not have any noise wake us up during the night and could not hear other guests. The owners went above and beyond the normal accomodations by providing us with an outdoor table and chairs, beach chairs, ,and an extra set of towels for the beach. Communication with the owners was excellent, the room was spotlessly clean, comfortable bed and pillows, great location. Great value.
