I loved my stay at this hostel :) The energy is amazing here and it is really easy to meet new friends here! Additionally the hostel is super close to the beach and has a great location! I was worried that there would be no AC in my 4-bed mixed dormitory because it is not listed, however they had AC in I think all rooms. There was also a super cute cat that was very entertaining!

If you're looking for a hostel to instantly feel at home, be close to the beach and learn to surf then look no further. The staff make you feel very much at home, the facilities are great and the surfing lessons are the best. I daresay that there are not many surfing schools in the world better to make progress as a (beginner/intermediate) surfer than by the hand of Marcos and Rudy. They are very dedicated to making you better, teach you the required technique and use video analysis to show you where to improve further. Plus, you will make friends easliy in the laid-back vibe and welcome culture of this hostel

Staying at Ico was like staying at in a beautiful home, where all was new and clean. Marco is so genuine and warm, making everyone feel good being there. He has a great vision and this place will become amazing, already is but ofc brand newly opened so step by step. Also I appreciate how much he cares with what kind of tour companies etc. he is cooperating with. The location is perfect, next to the beach and services, but still bit off-road from the main road so it is quiet. Kitchen is amazing, so good to cook here. Also Jimena & Nacho working there are so sweet. Gracias por todo, can’t wait to come back.

My stay was absolutely amazing! The place is super clean and has everything you need for an epic vacation! You're just two blocks from the ocean and one block from the main street, perfect location. But what really makes this place special are the hosts, Lenin and Chelsea- they'll make you feel like part of the family! Thanks for an unforgettable experience!!

the staff absolutely made this hostel! so friendly and happy to help with everything from the minute we got there. they make everyone feel so welcome - there is a lovely social but chilled atmosphere here. it is located between the north and south of santa teresa so both are in easy walking distance despite it feeling a little out of town. the dorms were small but it didnt matter as we had curtains which felt very private. my favourite hostel of the trip

The place is great for a female solo traveller. The owner is very nice, has great info about the area and shares a great ethos. The beds were very comfy and spacious. I also had a nice locker on wheels where I could put my stuff. The dormer is for females only and after 10 pm it's quiet zone. I made friends here but also managed privacy.

Everything about this spot is amazing. The beach access is impossible to beat, the unique accommodations are fun and funky. The beds are extremely comfortable which is so welcomed after a long day of surfing. The staff are helpful and friendly, checking in was a breeze, and their surf instructors are really friendly and effective. The price for all of this is impossible to beat. We wanted to stay much longer, and we will be back!

Helpful staff (they helped us book a shuttle to Playa Del Coco), clean facilities, beautiful patio/outdoor areas to hang out, quiet, great location, coffee available in the morning, lots of lines to hang wet towels, clothes and swim suits. Overall a nice spot for the budget traveler.

The hostel is a real old style hostel, don’t expect to come to a 4 star hotel for the price you’re paying. We had a basic simple private room with a shared bathroom, from the room you can hear everything but again it’s a hostel, that’s okay. The structure it’s very tico style. The community inside was really friendly and nice. If you’re looking for a place on a budget in Montezuma and at 1 minute from the center, this is the place to come!

Super chill vibe, great location, lovely staff. Kitchen looked great but I didn't use it. Saw monkeys playing in the trees above the hostel which was super special!

The hosts Gustavo and Regis made me feel very welcome and at ease immediately. The hostel is perfectly located in Rio, whether you like museums, party, beaches, food, walks... The hostel organizes lot of activities like a fun karaoke, so you can mingle easily and meet new people. There are many cool - day or less - trips possible to do, like hikes to magnificent view points. Also the hostel itself is just beautiful, with greenery, cosy terrace, grandeur from the past and still very ready for the 21st century! 10/10 or more!
