Cleanliness and staff were excellent, and the photos are genuine. The toilet and shower rooms are shared but exceptionally clean. The main gate, located next to the laundry shop, only has 'C9' written on it instead of 'MaruLivingC9.' Make sure to ask for the entry codes beforehand to ensure a smooth check-in process.

I loved this hostel! It is exceptionally clean & very secure -- the area is also safe. The beds, large & very comfortable... curtains, plugs, shelves AND each room with its own theme. Very spacious lockers, no lock needed. The showers, clean & great stream of water. The free coffee is very very good! The staff, very friendly, helpful & accommodating. The common space is spacious & relaxing. The kitchen is well-stocked. There is access to work spaces, for anyone needing to be in an online meeting. I so much enjoyed this hostel & I would absolutely stay there again! It's maybe 20 minutes to downtown with transport, very logical & easy to manage. Lots of cafes or food stores more or less in the area -- actually, it was nice to get out of the more touristy city center!

Very comfortable, great price and location. The host has fair rules which are clearly explained and is ready to answer any questions (we were explained the best ways to get to the city center and Koelnmesse, where the Gamescom was) Also, there was a nice small breakfast, which saved us time and gave energy. Overall, great stay and thank you to the host!

Very complete and comfortable hostel. Individual rooms for each group with a shared bathroom, toilet and kitchen. The price was very worth it. Check in and check out just involved collecting and leaving your keys. The kitchen was also very complete. The location was near Barbarossaplatz which has a train directly to the city centre. There's also a Rewe nearby which helps if you're looking to cook.

Looking for a hostel?

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
