AustraliaAs a ‘hostel’ this is the nicest I have ever experienced. It’s small and all the rooms are private with shared kitchen, bathrooms and sitting area so it’s really very close to being a hotel. The staff were so kind and helpful when we were stuck in town due to a blizzard and closed roads. I really cannot recommend this place enough!

We had booked 2 bedrooms for the 4 of us, there were another couple and an other family of 4. We shared the kitchen with all equipment that you may need and there were 2 bathrooms with shower. A place that allows people to chat, sit around the table, share experiences / adventures. Let's not forget the restaurant, the food, the service, the smiles - so good! Cheap by Icelandic standards. In the kitchen, we found everything we needed. Also, people are encouraged to leave there for others to eat or drink whatever they don't need - we were happy to take a bit of oil and left oats there for example. You wake up to a beautiful and relaxing view of the mountain and a cove of water. The hostel is clean, the room is small but cozy, the beds are comfortable with clean white linens and comforter.
