The staff is really friendly and helpful, special thanks to Mike and Lara ☺️ The hostel is very clean and spacious, you have loads of places to chill and meet people. I've actually never seen a hostels kitchen that clean, and it's fully equipped The ping pong table and TV with Netflix are a + Really good wifi 10 min walk to the beach and New world

Nice and small hostel, met awesome people here. Staff was great. Heaters and curtains in the outdoor area were great for the winter, especially as it is the only dining area. Airfryer in the kitchen was a nice feature as well.

Newly opened and refurbished in October 2020, Wanderlust NZ is a waterfront hostel located in a historical building in downtown Tauranga.

The woman working at reception was exceptionally wonderful, friendly and helpful. I was running behind schedule and was going to be late for my tour at of Hobbiton when I checked in, and she was quick to see that I was a little stressed. She was able to call Hobbiton (as I didn't have a working phone to call) to help reschedule my tour to a later time, and then proceeded to give me a quick run-down of the hostel before I got back on the road for my tour. I am very grateful for her assistance.

The place was value for money. Best thing was they gave duvet as well where is some places you may have to pay extra.
