Nyon Hostel was my first introduction to Swiss Hostel policies on putting your bed sheets which is great. Sharing toilet is state of the art. It’s like going to a membership gym washroom and has its own wall hair dryer which is fantastic. The staff are all great! They explained the check-in process very well. They had a free storage locker area downstairs which is helpful because I usually go out and explore around the area before the actual check in time.

I booked a bed in 4-bed mixed room, but instead was given a bed in a 2-bed room for women! It was a nice and cozy room. Luckily for me my neighbour only stayed half of the first night, and I spent the rest of my say alone in the room. Location of the hostel is great. Showers were good. Rooms are well sound isolated. Kitchen is well stocked.

Just 50 metres from the shore of Lake Geneva, the Vevey Hotel occupies a 19th-century mansion in the historic centre of Vevey. It offers free Wi-Fi and a bar with a terrace overlooking the lake. This place was great. Right off the Via Francigena. Nice big room and we even had a view of the lake.
