Beautiful gardens active with birds and animals, including a sloth. The nearby beach was nearly deserted, but for the nesting Leatherback turtles, it seemed ideal. The restaurant served gourmet food. The menu was varied. The Curry to die for!

Arcari Garden Hostel is located just 400 metres from Tortuguero National Park, just a few steps from the sea shores and features free WiFi access is available in all areas. Very good beds, good shower. The common kitchen was nice.

The pool! The receptionists were both very helpful and were so kind to me during my stay. The bathrooms are amazing and reminded me of for Vegas hotels, the women who stay here are beautiful and frequent the pool, easy bike rentals, and all the accomodations any adventurer could desire. I really dug the outside planter/sink combos for general washing and laundry. The woman who runs this place is an absolute goddess and is quite possibly one of her most stunning women I have seen in Costa Rica, ever. 🤤

The room was well set up; the bed was comfortable, the 2 fans were great and having a mini fridge in the room was very handy. We loved that there were sloths and agouti around the hostel. We also loved Tequila, one of the cats who was super friendly. He brightened our days!

Simply one the best Hostel I ever been to. The location is far from Puerto Viejo, of course, but the beach is close (ten minutes by walk), and just a bit further there are three supermarkets and a pharmacy (and you'll find yourself in the main road, pretty easy to do anything). Then, you're staying in a very nice jungle spot. The facilities are great, good kitchen, big rooms (with lockers and plugins). All very clean (you can see how the volunteers are making an effort, they're really great: all the staff is very friendly and helpful). Good common areas with a fantastic atmosphere, very social and easygoing (I would dare say you can actually feel at home: your home in the jungle). Highly recommended :)
