Situated in Helmsdale and with Dunrobin Castle reachable within 26 km, Helmsdale Lodge Hostel - all rooms en-suite features express check-in and check-out, non-smoking rooms, a garden, free WiFi throughout the property and a shared lounge. The accommodation provides a shared kitchen, and luggage storage for guests. The manager Maria and the volunteer are super hostpitable and patient to my bad English. I was so lucky to own the whole 4- bed room as I was the only guest booking that room. The location is just aside the main road A 9 which is quite convenient to start off for a cyclist. I was told the hostel used to be a school, so you may find the dining room, living room and bed rooms are quite spacious and roofs are high.

All rooms in the hostel are fitted with a kettle. The rooms will provide guests with a fridge. The pods are ideally located, offering stunning views and serene quietness. I absolutely love everything about this place. This is my second time staying in the pod, and hopefully not the last ! Both times, we were very fortunate to have the most beautiful winter sunny days, making it my favorite time to visit Assynt/Coigach.

The youth hostel offers a range of facilities including a dining area with views over the harbour. Absolutely great location, near the pubs and ferry terminal. Simple, yet very clean facilities, and a fantasticly organisized self-catering kitchen (plenty drying towels and other supplies). Special shout-out to Fiona at the reception who enthusiastically consulted with with regards to live usic pubs and dining opportunities.

Dining Experience: The family-friendly restaurant serves traditional meals with vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free options. Breakfast includes continental, à la carte, and vegetarian selections with warm dishes, juice, and fruits. Staff were incredible, communicative! Cozy place, beautiful nature, gorgeous experience!

Bazpackers is well situated in Inverness, and features a garden, free WiFi and a shared lounge. This 4-star hostel offers a shared kitchen and luggage storage space. The property is non-smoking and is set 200 metres from Inverness Castle. Great location, got a private room with double beds, was very comfortable, beautiful view from the window

Hartfield House Hostel offers pet-friendly accommodation in Applecross. Free private parking is available on site. There are extensive grounds and covered space for bikes, ideal for cyclists and walkers. Hartfield House Hostel is set in a beautiful location with breathtaking scenic views. The room was incredibly spacious and well-kept, which made the stay very comfortable and relaxing.

Portree Youth Hostel is located in Portree’s city centre. This hostel features a shared dining area and a communal lounge. The property is within 300 metres from many shops, bar and restaurants. Portree’s small port and its coloured houses are 600 metres away. Good position and good reception guy。

There is also a large open-plan lounge which provides stunning views of the Cairngorm Mountains and surrounding woodland. The common room was really nice! Felt like a living room in a home!
