It's such a wonderful place to stay. I enjoyed my time at Helmsdale Lodge Hostel very much. The accommodation is spotless clean and well-maintained. It has a welcoming atmosphere, and Maria is a very kind host. Feels more like visiting an old friend rather than organised accommodation. I would book again without a moment of hesitation when in the area.

The house is very cozy and in a quiet peaceful location. There are cozy clean rooms, wifi, nice warm kitchen with coffee and tea for guests plus a nice place to make a fire outside. The place is also very clean. What I liked the most though was a very welcoming staff. Especially Ruth who helped me with everything that I needed and was very kind and genuine. She made me feel at home from the start. I wish I had more time to get to know the staff better. This hostel was my favourite in the highlands, perhaps in the whole UK :) I highly recommend to stay there and to book more days!

Comfortable Accommodation: Great Glen Hostel in Spean Bridge offers family rooms with private bathrooms, carpeted floors, and garden, lake, and mountain views. Each room includes a shower. Food was delicious, homemade, fresh and tasty. Got fantastic venison with veggies, striongly recommended!! the host is simply great and gave us handy tips for visiting surroundings and isle of Skye. thanks for all!!!

Just 10 minutes’ walk from Inverness Rail Station, Inverness Youth Hostel offers free private parking and bicycle storage. Eastgate shopping centre is a 10-minute walk from this hostel. The staff has been amazing, they gave me useful advice on exploring the area. The one bed room I stayed in was amazing and cosy. I really appreciate the cleanliness of the hostel and the amazing breakfast.
