The dorm beds were actual mattresses, so they were very comfortable, and the bunks came with many sockets and accessories (fan, light, clothes line, tissues). It’s a refurbished house, so it felt very cozy. It was comfortable and I enjoyed talking to other guests and the owner. It was a superb stay, one of the best guesthouses I’ve ever stayed at! They upgraded me to a private room, which I was so grateful for. The guesthouse is a renovated ryokan with a beautiful modern design. The rooms, common areas, kitchen, and bathrooms were spacious and well-equipped. Nice and warm inside as it was built well to keep out the cold (some other places I stayed in were quite cold). Everything was clean and quiet, and the area was peaceful. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. There's a cafe a few minutes drive away, which was also really pretty. Kito Cafe Nishiumori. Will definitely be coming back next time!

We regret not staying longer...... but I'm sure her house would be booked out! We were made to feel at home, everything was perfect, we were comfortable + it truly felt like a home away from home staying with family. We would love to visit again! Do yourself a favour + include the dinner + breakfast - Miho's freshly prepared food is nutritious + tasty. I actually cannot speak high enough of our experience here. We will miss Miho + her daughter Hanna! My boys + husband loved their stay too. So much fun. Miho also gave wonderdul recommendations for restaurants + local gems we would never have known about.
