Always asking if he could make us more comfortable. The place is kept super clean! . Easy walk to Las Penitas if you need to mingle with a lot of tourists.

Dorms are large and clean with ensuite washroom and shower. Kitchen to use is well equipped and clean. Common area with tables and hammocks. Quiet area of town. 5 min walk to either of the beaches. Bicycles available for use to explore the area. Shops nearby carry basic groceries, if you want anything special stock up in Leon ahead of time. Restaurants within walking distance if you don't feel like cooking. The owners are extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the area, where to rent a good surfboard and spots to surf. They are always willing to help out with anything you need to make your stay the best. Fluent in English , French and Spanish. Gaston the dog is the best. He's extremely chill and friendly.

The location was great, very centric. The place itself is charming, has a very homely vibe with the pool, the fountain and lounge area with a hammock and coffee tables. The room was spacious, clean, and had A/C. The bed was comfortable and big. The staff were very attentive. They cook breakfast for you every morning with a nice cup of coffee, and you just feel like you're staying at a relative's home. We were an LGBT couple travelling and we felt very welcome. It was very quiet and it was great to rest for a few days while enjoying the city of Leon. We paid about 45$ per night in a double room with AC including the 17% tax (we had not picked this up from the Booking breakdown and it was an unpleasant surprise), which I think is still good value.

The best hostel we have stayed in Nicaragua. The location, the beautiful and comfortable rooms, the restaurant, and above all, the staff. We took surf lessons with Kelvin and those were the best surf classes we had so far. He gives you a lot of theory and picks up exactly where you want to start from. We did surf skate as well in his extra time. We can only highly recommend his classes. You can surf right in front of the hostel which is a dream. We were very sad to leave
