We, the family van Wijk consisting of mother, daughter and grandson, moved from the Netherlands to Austria in 2009. Not out of dissatisfaction about the Netherlands, but out of love for nature, the mountains. In Niedernsill we have been running the bed and breakfast Casa Montana ever since. The almost 50 year old house is lovingly renovated by us piece by piece. There is – if so desired – a sincere contact between you – the guest – and us. We receive you personally and provide you with all the information you need. We like to go through your plans for the day during breakfast and like to hear what it was like in the afternoon. We are not a luxury hotel, but we hope that with our personal approach we can offer a little counterweight to the impersonal apartment houses and chalet villages that arise here and there.

Casa Montana is situated in Niedernsill, where it's quiet, but not tóo quiet! Niedernsill is a small, charming town on the river Salzach, which hasn't yet been overun by masstourism. It lies in a broad valley, surrounded by magnificent mountainranges: the Hohe Tauern on the one and the Pinzgauer Grassmountains on the other side. A perfect basecamp for all of your summer- and winteracitivities. From Niedernsill you easily reach many well knows skiresorts by car, skibus or skitrain.
