The family-run Schweizer Hof at 1,250 metres above sea level is an insider tip for all those who want to spend their holiday on a small farm far away from the stress of everyday life and in the midst of the unspoilt natural landscape of the Salzburger Lungau. The motto of a holiday here is to come up and relax.
The newly renovated farmhouse has a fully equipped, spacious holiday apartment, a generous double room and a holiday home in traditional alpine farmhouse style. The garden offers plenty of space for rest and relaxation. A special insider tip are the wonderful sunsets with free views over the Lungau valley basin and the foothills of the Alps.
Located near the district capital of Tamsweg, the Schweizer Hof is the perfect starting point for a relaxing active holiday for the whole family and nature lovers.
He, Christian Pritz, is a true Lungau native. She, Madeleine Pritz, is a true "immigrated" Swiss. Together we have been running the small, fine farm as a second occupation since 2018. We have always been passionate about tourism and nature. Being close to our guests is particularly important to us, so we are always happy to provide tips. We look forward to welcoming you as a guest and returning as a friend!
The nature reserve around the Prebersee, which is a favourite with nature lovers, can be reached in just 5 minutes by car. At the same time, the small, fine and busy district capital of Tamsweg is just a 3-minute drive away.
The wide Lungau valley basin with its 5 romantic side valleys and unspoilt natural landscapes forms an absolute contrast to life in the city, skyscrapers, streets and offices. This is precisely why the region was awarded UNESCO Biosphere Reserve status in 2012. The award guarantees an unspoilt holiday experience in summer at one of the 60 mountain lakes, in one of the more than 70 traditional mountain inns or in winter in one of the family-friendly, snow-assured ski areas (4 ski areas can be reached in just 15 to 25 minutes), on the snow-assured cross-country ski trails or varied ski tours.
Numerous events take place in the district capital of Tamsweg, as well as living traditions such as the Samson carrying in summer and the Advent market, Krampus run or Easter fires in winter. The market town of Tamsweg with its restaurants, cafés, sports shops, farmers' markets and sports facilities offers everything your heart desires.
