Barwon Valley Lodge is spread out over 10 aces of gardens with all apartments ground floor and single story. This is unlike most other apartment complexes which tend to be multi-story buildings with very little space around them. Guests enjoy the spaciousness of Barwon Valley Lodge, with large apartments that have everything to make them feel at home.

Barwon Valley Lodge is located along the Barwon River with large parklands and reserves on either side of the river. The area provides walking, running and cycling tracks along the river. There is also a Disc (Frisbee) Golf course directly across from Barwon Valley Logde (which is free). There is a wonderful children's playgound in the reseve, and also an excercise course.
Close to Barwon Valley Lodge is Highton village which has many cafes and shops.
