The 'family' here includes many animals, Ratty the cat, dogs Shadow, Juniper Berry, Rogue, Zorro and Griffin, four horses, 6 turkeys, 2 ferrets and 3 peacocks, all of whom would be happy to introduce themselves to you. We are a pet friendly hotel. Important - please note if you would like to bring your pet with you, kindly contact us first to ensure that availability is suitable on the day you would like to book. Only certain rooms are pet friendly - generally the Spa or Disability access rooms.

Our property is family owned and operated. The house is 140 years old and has been in our family for over 70 years, it is authentic heritage in a spectacular setting, what we like to consider quintessential Tasmania, not stuffy luxury, but relaxing and welcoming! We serve great food sourced from local suppliers and our own vegetable garden (by prior arrangement) Important - please note if you would like to bring your pet with you, kindly contact us first to ensure that availability is suitable on the day you would like to book.
