Herberton is located an hour and a half west of Cairns on the Atherton Tablelands, 20 minutes from the township of Atherton. The house is located in the centre of town close to all historical attractions. Fully equipped kitchen for self-catering options. A continental breakfast and Wi-Fi are included.

Herberton is a quiet, relaxed town with abundant bird life and bushwalks. The award winning Historic Village Pioneer Museum is a 30 minute walk away along the Wild River. The Atherton-Herberton Historic Railway can be seen from the back windows of the house and is a must see for any train enthusiast. The Herberton Mining Centre is situated on the site of the original Great Northern Mine, also a short walk from the house, and is the start of the Great Northern Firetrail Bushwalks. Herberton is reported to have some of the best bushwalks in Queensland, providing a unique combination of forestry, native flora and scenic views. The network of trails vary in length and difficulty, accommodating to all different levels of fitness.
