Your hosts, Wade and Josy, live on-site and play an active role in making this place feel like a welcoming and peaceful home. Wade comes from a background in film, media, and emerging tech, producing international screen projects while also working with young people through NDIS as a mentor and support worker. He’s spent much of his life in the fitness industry, holds two black belts, and has a deep passion for health and wellbeing, that’s why the gym, ice bath, sauna, and other wellness spaces are such a key part of the experience here. With over 25 years in construction, there’s usually a new project or upgrade underway, and he also runs a local hiking group, so he’s always happy to share great spots to explore around Queensland.
Josy is German-born and the creative force behind the look, feel, and comfort of the home. With over four years of experience in Airbnb management and property care, she brings serious know-how to what makes a stay smooth and memorable. She loves cooking, baking, and takes real pride in keeping the space clean, calm, and beautifully put together. She’s hands-on, friendly, and always adding those thoughtful little touches that make guests feel at ease.
Also living here are Leo and Pancake, our two ginger cats who happily take on the role of unofficial co-hosts. They’re affectionate, relaxed, and often keen for a pat or a bit of attention. If cats aren’t your thing, no problem, they’re used to being gently asked to move along.
Together we aim to offer more than just a room, we share a lived-in, respectful home where everyone can feel comfortable, whether you're here to rest, work, or explore.
