Low Head Tourist Park is only 3.7 kilometres from Historic George Town which has a Woolworths Supermarket and BWS Bottle Shop both open 7 days plus many other retail options including cafes, takeaways, bakeries, butchers and other services such as ATMs, banking facilities, newsagency, pharmacies and Australia Post. Dining out options include two great family friendly pubs, The Pier Hotel and Gray's Hotel. For a fine dining experience there is The Cove Restaurant at Peppers York Cove or during the day there is amazing takeaway fish and chips from George Town Seafoods. Activities abound in the area including many safe swimming beaches for enjoying all sorts of water activities, Explore the Pilot Station Museum and Light House, try some fishing, safe walking and bicycle tracks and at night time the fully guided penguin tour is a must do experience.
