Milton Village Retreat is a 1 BR (queen bed) secluded, fully equipped garden cottage with a large private deck and fenced-in yard. We allow a single, well-trained dog (see separate booking option that includes dog fee). The retreat is very privately separated from but adjacent to, the separate owner and co-host residences. MVR is up a battleax driveway in the corner of a large 2000sqm residential lot. Stroll to the Milton medical precinct and the heritage-listed village past farmland to restaurants, cafes, dress and homeware shops, bars, pubs and allied health services. It's 5km drive to Mollymook Beach and renowned restaurants there (eg Rick Stein's, Bannisters Pool Bar, Gwylo, Rooftop), 6km to Cupitt's winery and to the Ulladulla fishing port. Easy access to hinterland drives, forests, Clyde River and Pigeon House Mountain.

Hi I'm Bill, a retired hospitality industry business owner. Rachel, my step-daughter is our property manager and co-host. She is a school assistant and plays with her husband in a local band. My wife, Pip, and I love living in Milton which is a beautiful hilltop rural village close to the ocean. We travel occasionally to visit family in the US and we travel annually to Far North Queensland during each southern winter. We are long time members of a local choir, book club, film club, play reading group and I am the convener of a weekly ukelele group that plays on our veranda each Saturday afternoon..... We are not performers but we love singing and making music with friends. Our cohost, Rachel, performs professionally with her husband, Richard, who leads an R&B band called "Richard and the Lionhearts". When we (owners Bill and Pip) are home we would be pleased assist or answer questions but when we are are absent, as we often are, assistance will be available from our co-host daughter, Rachel. She lives next door but her details are on this site and also provided in the cottage.

Milton is a heritage-listed hilltop village with views to the ocean. It is surrounded by beautiful basaltic-soil dairylands and, further out by State Forests and National Parks. Milton is the northernmost part of the Milton-Mollymook-Ulladulla-Lake Burrill -Dolphin Point conurbation (population all-up, about 17,000). Though Milton Village Retreat itself is located in a Residential Zone the short walk from it to the older-world heritage-listed village passes sheep and cattle paddocks that sweep to a deep gully and also the Milton swimming pool. During major holiday periods the Princes Highway can be busy but as the village is close by this is usually not relevant for shopping purposes. Normally there is easy access and parking in the village. The drive to Mollymook Beach through the beautiful farmscape of Frogs Hollow and newish residential areas is beautiful. There are lots of things to see and do here and most require some driving.
