Peter and Jenny welcome you to Montrose on Moore
We are enthusiastic, social bike riders who have explored the whole of the BVRT including some multi-day trips
We enjoy an active outdoor lifestyle including hiking, camping, kayaking, mountain biking and road cycling and love getting out and about in the Somerset and South Burnett regions as well as getting away for longer camping trips.
We live on site in a separate cottage to the rear of the main house.

Moore might be a small community, but it is very welcoming. Moore has cafes, an art gallery and a bike shop – not many country towns with a population of 300 have a bike shop!
Montrose on Moore is the perfect base to explore the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail (BVRT). From Moore you can ride to Linville, Blackbutt and Yarraman to the north; or Toogoolawah, Esk, Fernvale and Wulkaraka to the south.
Moore was originally known as Stanley Gate and then as Mooretown.
In July 1910 the town took the name of Moore from its railway station, which was named after John and William Moore, graziers of Colinton.
