Gwongorella means Dancing Waters and you will hear the waters dancing by the door step of our Mongolian Ger=yurt or (round house) as you sleep under the stars. On clear night we leave the roof open to the night sky so you can watch the stars and the moon from your big comfy bed.
This retreat will provide you with a unique magical experience tucked away in the World heritage listed Rainforest of Springbrook mountain. Step out our back door and into the National Park with Purlingbrook Falls being 50metres away literally. You can stroll to the top of the falls and the lookouts with your morning cup of tea, coffee or caocao.
You also have a private waterhole in purling brook creek at your door step to swim in during summer and an indoor and outdoor fire place during winter nights.
With our perfect location at the edge of the national park and at a cul de sac, our retreat offers absolute peace, quiet & tranquility with cafes at walking distance.
The Purling Brook Falls circuit is accessible from the back of our property and the beautiful waterfall lookouts. Natural Bridge Glow Worms Cave is also nearby and the Twin falls circuit as well as many other lookouts and hikes in the park.
To fully relax we gladly offer a delicious home made breakfast & dinner at an additional cost per meal/per person, BYO Alcohol, all meals are served to you in the yurt or entertainment area. Guests can also self cater and use our outdoor bbq, private kitchen and entertainment area. Everything has been thought of so you can be completely self contained in the space. The kitchen cabin also has a fully private bathroom with toilet and shower for guest only.

Ebony Hall was a national park ranger for over 18 years and spent her childhood in the forest of Springbrook National Park. She is happy to share those secret gems of the mountain and tips on seeing the animals and plants of the area. Ebony loves to share with guests the best ways of exploring the areas Waterfalls,Walking Tracks, swimming holes and glow worm caves.
Ebony has created this retreat so people can come and connect to nature. For those that want a deeper experience Ebony offers guided tours of the park for guests. Join her on a journey through the cultural heritage and the natural wonders of the magic of Springbrook. Each tour can be created to focus on your particular area of interest, be that bush foods, fire and ecosystem biodiversity, cultural heritage or the magic of the forest that lights up at night. Each experience is unique and boutique. Ebony also offers fire building classes and hosts sound healing and guided meditations as part of your reconnection back to nature experience.
Springbrook is a place to disconnect from the chaos and connect with the calm of nature. Its close to the coast but miles away...There are no Public Transport, no petrol station, no ATM's, no restaurants in Springbrook except for a little local convenience store and a couple of cafes.
You'll receive our welcome letter before you arrive to remind you to come prepared for your adventure in the mountains. The purling brook area is the centre of the mountain and only 30 minutes to Nerang our closest town.
The two local cafes are within walking distance from the property through a nice little stroll in the park and is open from 10.30am-4pm. There are two more cafes at the top of the mountain. We are 30-50 minutes from the Gold Coast, 90 minutes from Brisbane & Byron Bay and 60 minutes from the airport.
