Literally in the centre of this charming town, The Malmsbury Nook is a bright, comfortable and quirky cottage that is an ideal base for your stay in the Central Highlands of Victoria.
The cottage is just a few steps away from the famous Malmsbury Bakery, antique and boutique shops, restaurants, the local pub, and the botanical gardens with their view of the awesome Malmsbury Viaduct across the Coliban River.
The central open-plan area features a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area and a cosy living area where you can enjoy Netflix on the HD smart TV while relaxing in front of the wood-burning heater (complimentary firewood is supplied). The split-system air conditioner provides both heating and cooling for year-round comfort.
The two bedrooms each have a queen bed (with electric blanket), pedestal fans and panel heaters. The north-facing front bedroom also has a dedicated workspace with an ergonomic chair, monitor and printer. Free wi-fi is available throughout the cottage.
The bathroom has a shower but no bathtub. There is also a laundry with a washing machine for guests.
Outdoor seating is provided in both the front yard and the backyard.
Guests have exclusive use of the cottage and outdoor spaces during their stay. They can access all areas of the property except for the cleaner's storage room and some outbuildings in the backyard.
The property is dog-friendly (maximum one dog) with a securely fenced backyard.

Within a 30-minute drive are oodles of popular wineries with cellar doors for tastings, and many have full restaurants too. Kyneton, with its famous Piper Street restaurants and shops, is 10 minutes away, while the "spa capital" of Australia, the twin towns of Daylesford and Hepburn Springs, is just 25 minutes away. Daylesford is renowned for the incredible variety and quality of its restaurants, including the Lake House on the shores of picturesque Lake Daylesford.
The cottage is just a 1km walk to Malmsbury Train Station, which provides easy access to Melbourne and Bendigo, as well as other popular Central Highlands tourist towns such as Macedon, Kyneton and Castlemaine.
The 25-metre-high Malmsbury Viaduct, which carries the Melbourne-Bendigo train line over the Coliban River, is well worth a visit. Made of locally quarried bluestone, it was completed in 1860 and is the largest masonry structure in Victoria. There are good views of the viaduct from the Malmsbury Botanic Gardens, which are just a 2-minute walk from the cottage.
