Nestled within the old growth forest of Simpson's Bay, you'll discover one of the islands unique stone houses. The Cottage is perfectly located a few minutes drive south of Bruny Islands world famous Isthmus. Central to bush walking tracks, birdlife sanctuaries, bushland reserves, pristine beaches, rugged coastlines and much more. Did we mention that wallabies, including missy, one of the local rare white wallabies visits daily. The cottage is suitable for couples, families, and small groups.
We are here to make planning your trip to Bruny as smooth as possible. We endeavour to reply to emails and phone calls in a timely manner. There is an old celery pine artists studio also on the land where our caretaker, Lindsay resides. He is available to make sure your stay is relaxed and as you wish. Please feel free to pick his brain for local knowledge and agenda suggestions. He is available during your stay via mobile 24 hours in case of emergency.
Simpsons Bay is an idyllic location with a great sense of history and beauty. It is located off the main road about half an hour from the ferry terminal at Roberts Point. A ten minute drive will find you at Adventure Bay, 5 minutes to Allonah, 10 minutes to Lunnawanna and an hour to Cloudy Bay or the Light House. Unfortunately, Bruny Island has no public transport whatsoever! You will have to rely on some sort of motorised vehicle to get to all the magnificent locations.
