The Telegraph Station was built to the original colonial architect plans which were located at the National Archives in Sydney. They wanted to bring a bit of history back to Gulgong and have a unique place for travellers to stay.

The Gulgong Telegraph Station (constructed in 2011) is an authentic recreation of the old Telegraph Station which was built in 1871. Conveniently located in the centre of town, with a luxury, contemporary interior, it is the perfect place to stay.

Gulgong is a very interesting old gold mining town. We have a fantastic Museum plus the Henry Lawson Museum, Prince of Wales Opera House, cafes, 4 hotels and several restaurants.
And plenty of cellar doors on the way to Mudgee (only 30ks away)
