Villa 20 is an "end" villa (only one neighbour) and has ducted air conditioning available 24/7. V20 is very close to the beach, with an amazing view of sunsets over Moreton Bay and the Glasshouse Mountains. The villa has a personal BBQ and a very well equipped renovated kitchen, including a dishwasher, full size fridge/freezer, microwave, gas cooktop, saucepans, crockery & cutlery, toaster, etc. and a Nespresso coffee machine with a milk frother (please bring your own pods). There are two modern large TV's, the second one being in the main bedroom. The main bedroom has a King bed. The 2nd bedroom has two King single beds. Linen and towels are free of charge (please bring your own beach towels). We supply sparkling wine ,a "starter pack" of toilet rolls, coffee, tea and sugar. There is a laundry downstairs, with a washing machine, tub, ironing board and iron, as well as an additional toilet. Tangalooma passenger ferry fares include delivery of your luggage, to a bin on the rear access track. If arriving in your 4wd from the "Micat" barge, luggage trolleys are provided in the car park.
Your hosts, (Gwen and Nigel) have enjoyed renting Villa 20 to guests for over 20 years, and we are passionate about making our guests feel at home. We are sure that you will love Tangalooma as much as we do with it's unique location overlooking Moreton Bay. Our own experiences staying at other rental properties, has given us ideas to continually improve and add to the facilities in Villa 20. We bring our own groceries, choosing to self cater, with the occasional trip to one of the restaurants, or the convenience store for basics, such as milk and bread. There is no supermarket on the island.
Tangalooma Resort is Brisbane's best kept secret! Villa 20 is in a perfect location, near to the Resort facilities. On your arrival from the passenger ferry there is no need to go to Reception. Just walk on a flat path, following the shore line, to V20. We (villa owners) are not able to offer Dolphin feeding to our guests. However, we recommend that you watch the feeding at sunset (free of charge), from an excellent viewing platform (attached to the jetty), just above the feeding. No guest vehicles are allowed in the Resort area, making Tangalooma a very safe area for children. There is a lawn area between the villa and the beach, where children can play, perhaps supervised by adults on the front deck! The island is 97% National Park. Many of our guests with 4wd's, pack a picnic and drive to the eastern side of the island, then travel north to the lighthouse to view whales (May to October), dolphins and turtles (4wd permits are available from Mulgumpin Camping. However, there are lots of activities at Tangalooma (quad bike riding, swimming, snorkelling, diving, fishing, sailing, tennis, basketball, bush walking etc.), but it is also the perfect place to do nothing!
