With only the sounds of the forest around you, it was so different, which is exactly why I wanted to stay there.
And at night when all the...」

「Lovely stay in the middle of the rainforest. Kids loved the pool, table tennis, trampoline and abundance of toys/games/dvds to enjoy between relaxing and enjoying the best of the Daintree. Fruit farm was delicious - chocolate pudding fruit with...」
Wildwood cabins and house are based in the heart of Cape Tribulation on a rare exotic fruit orchard and guests are welcome to explore the orchards to pick their own fruit as they wish from the 800+ trees on the property. The house and cabins are secluded and private, set approximately 60 metres apart from each other and not visible. The cabins are identical and overlook a creek and 5 acres of virgin rainforest which is Heritage listed, with many rare and endangered species. There is a 60 minute self—guided walk through the rainforest which leads from the back of the cabins and it’s a spectacular walk through fan palm galleries and a diverse range of plants and trees up the hillside and across the ridge. This is one of the few rainforest walks that you can do in the Daintree region which is unguided and not on boardwalks so is quite a special feature of the property
At Wildwood we spend a lot of our time enjoying the garden, the creeks and driving between Cow Bay and Cape Tribulation stopping at all the deserted sand beaches along the way, as well as Cassowary spotting.
10 mins walk from Wildwood, is Cape Tribulation where the majority of the trips and tours run from. There is horse riding on the beach as well as the only boat which takes you out snorkeling to the reef. This is run by Ocean Safari and they have a great speedboat which takes about 20-30 minutes to take you to the reef. Snorkeling is wonderful. You can also enjoy Ziplining with Treetops adventures, taking jungle walks with Cooper Creek Wilderness and visiting the Daintree Discovery Centre, crocodile cruises with Solar Whisper or Cape Trib Wilderness Cruises.
Cape Trib beach and Myall beaches are close by and very beautiful. There is a large natural swimming hole close to Wildwood at Mason’s Cafe called Myall creek, just 5 mins down the road.
