Upstairs, the villa features two bedrooms, separated by a common area that serves as a living/dining/kitchenette. Each bedroom has a double bed, a sink with hot and cold running water, and a built-in wardrobe with hanging space. Both bedrooms share an identical surface area of approximately 20m². The south-facing ""Sun"" bedroom has a 200 x 160 cm bed and is equipped with a portable air conditioning system and a TV, while the north-facing ""Moon"" bedroom has a 200 x 140 cm bed and is equipped with a fan.
In the common area, which serves as a living/dining/kitchenette, you will find a table and chairs, two armchairs, and some kitchen equipment: a refrigerator, a small electric oven, and an electric kettle. The upstairs toilet is installed in a dormer-style window, and the door opens onto the common room. All the amenities in the common room are shared by all first-floor tenants.
Both bedrooms are equipped with electric space heaters. A babybed is available.
On the ground floor is the bathroom shared with the owner; it is equipped with a double sink, a bathtub, and a shower.
I am an independent consultant and coach. I enjoy hiking and cycling. It must be said that the region lends itself very well to both. I love cooking and entertaining friends. I sometimes offer meals to my guests, meals that I prepare myself. I help you discover the region and make your stay a success in terms of tourism, sport, gastronomy, and culture.
There are three ways to stay in the villa:
- by renting the entire villa; in this case, you have access to the entire property, including the garden and terraces; this can accommodate 8 adults;
- by renting the first floor, including the two bedrooms and the intermediate room between the two bedrooms, which serves as a living/dining room/kitchenette, all of which is referred to as the "family suite." You also have access to the bathroom on the ground floor, shared with the owner; this can accommodate 4 adults;
- by renting one of the two bedrooms upstairs separately; in this case, you have access to the intermediate room shared by all the tenants on the first floor; you also have access to the ground floor bathroom shared by all the tenants and the owner; each bedroom can accommodate two adults.
The villa is the owner's main residence; he lives there permanently when the entire villa is not rented, using only the ground floor. When the first floor is rented, the ground floor bathroom is shared by the tenants and the owner. Depending on specific circumstances, the possible presence of private visitors, and the needs of each party, the owner may grant you access to the ground floor kitchen as well as the terraces, garden furniture, and patio furniture. This is discussed on a case-by-case basis at the beginning of each stay and may change during the stay.
You will be staying in a beautiful, farmhouse-style, detached villa located in a green, wooded, and very quiet area, 5 km from the center of Namur and near the top of the hill that separates the Meuse and Sambre rivers. This is the village of Wépion, renowned for its strawberries. The villa sits in the middle of a 13-acre plot of land, with a garden and terraces at the front and back. The Meuse Valley can be seen in the distance; it is just over a kilometer away. The location is quiet, peaceful, conducive to rest and relaxation, and can be used as a starting point for numerous walks and bike rides.
Nature is everywhere, even though you are 5 km from Namur city center. The Meuse Valley is very beautiful, especially between Namur and Dinant, another charming little town just over 25 km south of Namur. A towpath allows for a leisurely stroll along the river.
Within a 20-km radius of the villa, you'll find many interesting discoveries to be made, such as Maredsous Abbey, the Annevoie Gardens, the Molignée Valley, the pretty town of Dinant, the villages of Yvoir, Crupet, Mozet, and Falaën, Freyr Castle, and of course the Meuse Valley and the beautiful city of Namur and its famous citadel. A few more kilometers away, you can also discover the Han-sur-Lesse caves, the Thon-Samson Valley, and the town of Rochefort.
