Maple Rise Guesthouse overlooks Birds Eye Cove on Vancouver Island, just a 15-minute drive from the town of Duncan and a short hop from downtown Vancouver via Harbour Air. We are located within walking distance of 2 local pubs but otherwise far from any shops so it is more convenient to have access to a car during your visit.
The three guest rooms are all on the lower level of our house and are accessed down a flight of stairs on the right hand side of the house. If you are concerned about accessibility issues, please call ahead to discuss.
There is a SHARED kitchenette which is equipped with everything you need to prepare simple meals at your convenience. Although there is no stove for cooking, there is a BBQ for al fresco meals on the shared patio. Each morning we provide a West Coast style breakfast made with fresh local ingredients (parfaits, pancakes, egg cups) on a tray in the shared kitchen. Breakfasts are designed to be easily heated up if you decide to sleep in. Tea and coffee are also available to you in the shared kitchen.
Each room offers cove views and a luxurious king size bed, lounging area with a sofa bed and tub chairs, an electric fireplace and TV with DVD player and access to cable and Netflix, a personal dining area, and a private en-suite bathroom. Guest Suites 1 and 3 have both a walk in shower and a free-standing soaker tub. Guest Suite 2 has a walk in rain shower. The sofa beds fold down to a double bed in GS 2 and a queen sized bed in GS 1 and 3 if you are travelling with children. A mattress topper is provided for added comfort.
Take a healing walk in our labyrinth after a day exploring the beautiful Cowichan valley, which offers everything for those looking for culinary or outdoor adventures.
