Property information

The Chalet Altenhaus is centrally located, only a 2-minute walk from the Grindelwald Dorf train station and the bus station. Shops and public transport to the skiing and hiking areas are in close proximity. Through the cooperation with the neighboring Derby Hotel, guests have the option of booking breakfast or half-board. Check-in and check-out as well as ski and hiking passes are also sold at the hotel reception. The Mittellegi studio is located on the ground floor and has a terrace with a view of the valley and the Eiger. The somewhat larger Fischerhorn / Wetterhorn studios are located on the upper floor and can be reached via an outside staircase. They are larger and can accommodate a baby bed on request. These studios also offer a view of the Eiger, but do not have a balcony. A limited number of parking spaces are available together with the Hotel Derby. Since the parking spaces vary in size, they cannot be reserved in advance (you are asked to hand over your car keys at reception). Arriving by train is recommended, especially in the high season and on weekends.
