Richard is an artist but most of his life was dedicated to Marketing, Graphic Design and Web Development, I worked with many great companies as the New York times Regional Group with more than 10 successful news papers including the Boston Glove and many others. The Petersen Company with more than 100 style magazines located in California, and the Marriott Vacation Club International with the biggest timeshare business in USA. But now after many years of great experiences, it was time to start writing my own story. The opportunity came about with the family property, a Mansion located in Cartagena de Indias that we rented but because of the abuse and after seeing the bad care that the mansion went through, I took the property back and started an slow process of restoration trying to preserve the architecture and original style of the mansion. Then, since we have lived for years in the States and knowing the difficulty of traveling to a strange country and finding a safe place to stay, it came the Idea to prepare the Mansion to help foreign travelers to find a safe and familiar place to stay during their travels. Without even imagining the travelers came and loved the Mansion.

Our beautiful Mansion is located steps from the bay were many of the pirate's ships filled with gold sunk, and the story tells, that the gold is still there, at the bottom of the bay. We are located in one of the most residential areas of Cartagena, steps from the Cartagena Bay, where many of pirate’s ships sunk full of gold, steps from the Pastelillo Fort that was the Fort used to protect the city from pirate invaders and responsible for sinking many of those Pirate’s ships with heavy cannons, that are still there as a symbol of endurance, resilience, and courage. Around the Mansion you will also find, restaurants, supermarkets, financial institutions but best of all we are close to all the touristic places specially the Walled City that is a 12min walking distance thought a beautiful city view.
