Welcome to Amber Ferienhain: More than just an accommodation - it is a retreat with history and heart, deeply rooted in Franconian tradition and respect for nature. Lovingly restored in 2025 from a former tithe farm dating from 1702, a unique holiday grove has been created that invites you to linger.
“Our wish was to revitalise this historic farm and highlight its extraordinary details as the basis for an incomparable retreat.”
Whether families or travelling groups - in our spacious accommodation, there is room for everyone to enjoy the soothing tranquillity of the surroundings and be inspired by the beauty of nature. Six individual accommodation units await you: two stand-alone holiday homes, the charming former stable with two apartments and the traditional Franconian house with two holiday flats. Each accommodation has a fully equipped kitchen, a cosy living and dining area and comfortable double beds. For special moments of relaxation, some accommodations (Magnolia, Cherry, Ginkgo, Oak) offer a private sauna.
A harmonious interplay of nature, high-quality interiors, enjoyment and community awaits you at the Amber Ferienhain - for unforgettable moments.
We are Markus & Janosch - creative minds, craftsmen, your hosts.
Markus grew up on this farm and started sowing exotic plants as a boy. Today, these transform the beloved garden into an oasis of well-being. It was Markus' original idea that got the project rolling. Thanks to his craftsmanship, many of the materials from the deconstruction were reused and now adorn our accommodation as unique, sustainable pieces.
Moving from the metropolis to the countryside is not just a big change, but a decisive advantage. As a ‘newcomer’, Janosch recognises the advantages of the region and the visitors’ desires. His international experience characterises the concept and design of the farm.
Together, they have converted the farm into Ferienhain (holiday “grove”). They call it a grove because of the importance of the trees for the atmosphere and their role in the fight for the environment. What convinces them: that their guests learn to love this little corner of the world as if it were their own home.
Nestled in the low mountain region of the Haßberge Nature Park, Amber Ferienhain offers an ideal starting point for experiencing Franconian nature and culture to the utmost. Situated right on the edge of the forest, there are countless opportunities for hiking and cycling tours on well-maintained paths. Discover the ‘German Castle Corner’ with its imposing castles along the famous Castle Road or explore the historic ‘Old Postman's Path’ and the unique ‘German Green Belt’.
As hosts, we greatly appreciate the special location of our farm, with no disruptive pass-through traffic, the peace and quiet contributes significantly to relaxation. The small-scale landscape structure, far away from industry and motorways, guarantees a relaxing atmosphere.
The picturesque landscape park of Bettenburg Castle, the romantic landmark of the Hassberge, is within walking distance. Here, where wine Franconia meets beer Franconia, you can enjoy regional specialities and Franconian hospitality.
Despite its idyllic seclusion, Amber Ferienhain is well connected. You can easily reach Coburg (35 km) / Bamberg (51 km) or Schweinfurt (38 km) / Würzburg (76 km) via the B303. The nearest railway station is in Haßfurt (19 km), and the airports of Nuremberg (106 km) and Frankfurt (198 km) are also within easy reach. For our guests there is one free car parking space per accommodation available on the estate; further public parking facilities can be found in the immediate vicinity.
We cordially invite you to discover the unique combination of historical ambience, natural surroundings and Franconian hospitality at Amber Ferienhain!
