The hotel is on the Ahrtal Cycle Path but due to flood disaster no more Ahr valley cycle path (temporarily), just 500 metres from the Rotweinwanderweg (Red Wine Hiking Trail) and 800 metres from the Ahrsteig hiking route.
The nearby Old Town offers a variety of restaurants, cafes and wine bars.
Der Schützenhof is just a 5-minute drive from Bad Neuenahr’s spa centre, thermal baths and casino. The Nürburgring race track is about 30 minutes away.
Because of the flood disaster, the range of restaurants, cafes, wine bars, etc. is limited.
