There are numerous well-marked hiking trails and cycling routes as well as toboggan runs, cross-country ski trails and ski slopes. A popular excursion destination is the nearby Kreuzberg. Here visitors can enjoy the impressive view, practice mountain biking or visit the famous Kreuzberg Monastery. The Wasserkuppe is also worth seeing. Here, visitors are not only offered great hiking routes and summer tobogganing, but also paragliding, gliding or, in winter, skiing, snowboarding and tobogganing.
