The covered terrace for rainy days and a sunny terrace when the weather is nice Meet Birgitte and Jonatan We are a family of five who own the summer house 'Rønnen' or 'La Casa della Famiglia', which is an old wooden house from 1964 (and you can see and feel that), which we have partially renovated ourselves. It is not luxury, but cosiness, peace and relaxation, good food and nature. We are Jens and Birgitte and our three adult children, Benjamin, Jonatan, and Sofus. We love spending time in our summer house, which often hosts evenings and days with family and friends, bonfires, barbecues, and fun in our 'wildly wild' garden. The cottage is our sanctuary, where we gather, relax, and enjoy ourselves. We love our little oasis because it is relaxing, informal, and, as people describe it, 'a real old-fashioned cottage'. The beach is only about 200 meters away and is not overrun. The water is usually calm, and you can swim from the jetty. We enjoy taking a trip to Paradisets gårdbutik in Ajstrup, the new sourdough bakery and deli in Malling, Et Brød Bakery, Fru Møllers Mølleri in Odder, Briancon in Beder, and Groft in Saxild (in Det Gl. Mejeri): a microbakery with the most delicious sourdough bread. Malling also has a small cinema, a pub, and shopping facilities. Norsminde Kro og Havn is also worth a visit. The area is very hilly, so if you want to go cycling in the area, it is a good idea to bring an electric bike or be in good cycling shape :) We look forward to welcoming nature lovers, families, and quiet, non-barking dogs and cats.
