Ringkøbing Fjord is universally appreciated as a mecca for windsurfers. From Hvide Sande there are 3 - 20 hour deep sea fishing trips. In the summer, when the sea is calmer, even the younger guests can fish for mackerel on a sea cutter, if they do not prefer to go out to sea safely on land in the museum 'Fiskeriets Hus' in a real cutter wheelhouse or to feel below deck how it is to live on a cutter. Several good golf courses can be found near Søndervig. The North Sea is 700 m away.
