The wide sandy beach of Rømø is unique and attracts vacationers from near and far year after year. The beach is open, shallow and up to 4 km wide. Here it is allowed to drive to the beach in a car. Countless small animals and microorganisms live in the sand, which gives it stability. The whole ecosystem depends on twice daily flooding, the so-called tidal range. In Ribe is the Wadden Sea Center, where you can find detailed information about the rich ecosystem, which is also called the larder of the earth. Accommodation is not suitable for groups of young people.
