The small country estate of Bohemian Hideaway on Gran Canaria, consists of two unique houses, La Labranza and El Pajar that are over 100 years old. Nestled in a palm tree valley, surrounded by magnificent mountains, the finca is only 35 minutes drive from the beach. The finca is a fantastic place to unwind, reconnect with nature and participate in outdoor sports and activities. Please review which house you are offered by Booking com, before confirming your reservation.
Hello! I’m Xeph, your host and the Manager of the Bohemian Hideaway finca. I have worked in hospitality all of my adult life, mainly in the tourist, film, and yachting industries. I enjoy interacting and helping the people I meet through my work and travels, and it’s a genuine pleasure to share my knowledge of this islands best places to visit and where to eat. My interests include hiking, computing, music, reading and traveling. I write and speak fluent English and Spanish, and have basic knowledge of French and German. I look forward to meeting you at the Bohemian Hideaway finca.
Ingenio de Santa Lucia, is the hamlet where you will find the Bohemian Hideaway. Although arriving here is an uphill drive, the actual hamlet is nestled in a palm tree valley 535 meters above sea level, which rewards the finca with fantastic views of the encompassing mountains. The nearest village is the picturesque Santa Lucia, with a few small shops, bakeries and restaurants. Cycling and hiking routes are everywhere, as well as an amazing rock climbing spot in a canyon just 30 minutes walk away. The nearest beach is just a 35 minute drive downhill, which is also next to one of the islands best coral diving spots. A lake with organised Carp fishing trips is 25 minutes away, and horse riding can be arranged on request. With so many outdoor activities to enjoy, you will be happy to spend an afternoon relaxing by the pool later in the evening with a cold drink.
