My name is Wendy and I love being able to share my wonderful home, meet lovely people from all over the globe and to show the true beauty of the Spanish Countryside at my retreat at the foot of the Sierra Nevada, close to the historical city of Granada.

There is an award winning cheese factory and shop in the village, just down the hill from the house. “El Hogar” is the restaurant in the village. It’s a must visit for great tapas and beautiful views. 10 minutes drive from the House, the closest Town is Alcala la Real. The historic town of Alcala la Real is situated in the southern hills of the province of Jaen, nearby are the provinces of Granada and Cordoba. The town provides an ideal base to visit the wonderful province of Jaen; take an excursion to Cazorla, or visit the cities of Jaen or Granada, plus it’s the perfect destination if you want to really enjoy traditional Spanish life and culture. The Costa Granada beach is 1.15 minutes and is beautiful unspoilt beaches. Salobreña, Almuñecar, and Nerja provide a gorgeous day out by the sea. Any of these towns could count as one of the best day trips from Granada. The spectacular Alhambra palace in Granada and other historical beautiful places to visit. Sierra Nevada The mountain range of Sierra Nevada lies southeast of Granada and is a big part of life in the province. Pradollano is 31km from the city and is the main leisure location, where skiing, snowboarding, and sledding are all popular activities during the winter months. Seville The capital of Andalusia is steeped in history and beauty. Another great day trip from Granada, but it is worth considering that it takes about 2 hours 45 minutes to get there. However, there’s such a lot to greet you on your arrival. Malaga There’s an atmospheric old town and a marina to enjoy.
