The Cabañeros National Park occupies the southwest area of the Montes de Toledo, a region famous for its game meats and its cornicabra oil. Goat and sheep cheeses, deer meat, honey and local wines complete a gastronomic offer to match the most demanding palates.
The Boquerón del Estena, next to the house, is a gorge where the most peculiar flora of the National Park is found. It also contains information and witnesses (fossils) of great interest for understanding the biological evolution of the Montes de Toledo since its past as a sea. The guided walking tour is compulsory and free, and is complemented by a visit to the Ordovician Zone exhibition, at the municipal Tourist Office.
