Playa San Marcos is a small beach of black volcanic sand located in the coastal area of the municipality of Icod de los Vinos in a cosy bay where there is also a small fishing port and various tourist facilities. It has a promenade, showers, changing rooms, toilets, numerous bars and restaurants and a parking area. It has a family atmosphere and the conditions for bathing are optimal due to the fact that it is located at the bottom of a shell-shaped bay, sheltered from the winds and the onslaught of the sea by the high cliffs that surround it. For guests wishing to explore the northern area, Garachico, known for its natural swimming pools and gastronomic offer, is just 4 kilometres away. Following the nearby northern route is the area known as Isla Baja: Los Silos, Buenavista, Teno Rural Park and Masca, a route full of surprises for its landscape.
