Las Hayas is a hamlet located in the upper part of the municipality of Valle Gran Rey (Canary Islands, Spain), on the island of La Gomera, at an altitude of 1000 metres above sea level, on the edge of the Garajonay National Park and already on the islands plateau. It is a semi-grouped settlement, crossed by the road from Arure to Chipude, with a population of 102 inhabitants in 1991 and 133 in 2008. It is a livestock farming area, with potato and fruit crops and palm groves despite its altitude.
