Ulle Gorri is a traditional Basque farmhouse, beautifully restored with original materials and certified with the European Ecolabel. We combine sustainability, rustic comfort, and an exceptional natural setting.
We offer three independent accommodations, each with private access, outdoor space, and stunning views of the Sierra Salvada. One unit is fully adapted for guests with reduced mobility.
As ecotourism specialists, we design personalized nature and cultural routes, and offer experiences such as forest bathing and yoga sessions in the peaceful surroundings of the farmhouse.
What sets us apart is our warm and personal welcome. As local hosts, we love sharing the best hiking trails, hidden spots, local cuisine, and Basque culture. We speak Spanish, Basque, English, and French.
At Ulle Gorri, every stay is a genuine experience of connection with nature and tradition.
Ongi etorri! Welcome to our farmhouse in the heart of the Basque Country.
We love hosting people from all over the world and helping them discover the most beautiful and lesser-known hiking trails, the best local places to eat, and the most authentic corners of our culture. Your stay with us is more than just accommodation — it’s a shared experience.

A Spectacular Natural Setting with Excellent Connections
Ulle Gorri Baserria is located in a peaceful hamlet made up of just three traditional farmhouses, surrounded by unspoiled nature and offering panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and rolling hills. The elevated, open landscapes create a deep sense of space and serenity.
The rural paths around the farmhouse are perfect for hiking and Nordic walking, winding through meadows and alongside ancient dry-stone walls (declared a UNESCO World Heritage site), and passing by pottoka ponies and flocks of Latxa sheep, a native Basque breed whose milk is used to produce the famous Idiazabal cheese.
We’re surrounded by three protected natural areas within the EU Natura 2000 network
From the farmhouse, you can reach the Gujuli Waterfall in just over an hour on foot, and the spectacular Salto del Nervión—the highest waterfall on the Iberian Peninsula—in about an hour and a half.
In addition to its natural beauty, Ulle Gorri is ideally located:
Only 25 minutes from Vitoria-Gasteiz, 40 minutes from Bilbao, and just 10 minutes from the highway, making it easy to explore the entire Basque Country and nearby regions.
This area is also a paradise for birdwatching, with over 160 pairs of griffon vultures nesting in the Arrastaria cliffs, and regular sightings of red kites, Egyptian vultures, little owls, storks, and herons, especially in spring.
