This hotel’s cabin-style accommodation is surrounded by excellent downhill and cross-country skiing areas in Salla, north-east Finland. It also offers guided snowmobile safaris and traditional Lapland food. All accommodation at Sallatunturin Tuvat features modern kitchen facilities, wooden floors and a living room with a TV. Some options include a fireplace and a private sauna. Sallatunturi Mountain and its surroundings offer 10 different ski slopes and 147 km of cross-country ski trails, of which 42 km are lit. Fishing and canoeing are popular on lakes Tuntsa and Naruska. Oulanka National Park is 50 km away, while Salla Reindeer Park is 3 minutes’ drive. The à la carte Kiela restaurant specialises in reindeer and salmon dishes, while the Papana Pub offers a cosy, relaxed atmosphere after a day outdoors.
