Between Chablis to the north and the northern borders of Côtes-du-Rhône to the south, the village of Meursault is world-renowned for the quality of its fine white wines. Since time immemorial, Meursault has been a convergence point for pilgrims from Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Hungary and Switzerland, who wanted to gather at Cluny before going southwards to cross the Pyrenees, then cross northern Spain and finally reach Santiago.
