A Relaxing and peaceful lodge set in the grounds of a 200-year-old farmhouse with over 11 acres of orchard and meadow. L'oume Lodge, formerly the piggery, sits at the edge of the meadow and has its own private gated entrance and parking with a private terrace, built-in BBQ and garden, beyond which is the gated pool area. The property is situated at the edge of a small village with great views of the countryside.
The 6 x 12 m pool is open from early April until early October. The pool has steps at one end and is 1.25m deep throughout, there is also a shallow side pool for toddlers. The pool area has a summer kitchen with a sink and fridge, toilet and changing room. There's also a BBQ and a wisteria-covered eating area to enjoy. We have plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas around the pool and lots of space around the pool and garden to set up where you like. Please note that the pool and the facilities around the pool are shared with another gite on the property.
The gardens have many fruit trees and lots of honeysuckle, jasmine and hibiscus and there's lots of wildlife to enjoy! There will be some binoculars and a book on local birds in the lodge for you to use. If you want to explore the local area by bike you are also welcome to use our two Schwinn cruisers! If you want to do some longer bike rides you might want to bring some bikes with you. We also have badminton sets and a football goal as well as pool inflatables and noodles etc for the guests to use.
We feel that the Les Champs De'Loume has a real charm and offers a very peaceful space to relax and unwind and enjoy the views of the countryside, the wildlife, the lovely sunsets, and the surrounding areas! The layout and the size are great for the privacy of guests, we have three gated entrances around the property so you have your own gated entrance and parking spaces.
We are a family of four and we moved here in August 2023 from Oxford in the UK. I am a printed textile designer and I love wildlife, art and interior design. We had experience renovating a flat in London and a house in Oxford and have taken on this much larger challenge of renovating the farmhouse here and the gites, which are situated in the old piggery and the barn attached to the main house. Luckily there are lots of bric a bracs and brocantes in the surrounding areas which are great for finding treasures for the house and gites!
We live in the farmhouse on the other side of a courtyard that leads to the lodge and can easily be contacted on here, by text or by popping over and knocking if you need anything.
