Saint-Laurent-d'Aigouze is a French commune located in the Gard department, in the Languedoc-Roussillon region. Official capital of Camargue racing with around thirty races affiliated to the French Camargue Racing Federation. Among these races, the Printemps des Royales, organized by the Lou Bandot Bullfighting Club, bullfighting trophy pitting six herds against each other. Its inhabitants are called the Saint-Laurentais. They can also be called Li coute negre (“the black necks” in Provençal) by the inhabitants of neighboring villages.
