We are lucky enough to have purchased the main house and Riverside Barn from the previous owners who did all the hard work. They have lovingly restored the main house over 15 years and converted the Barn in 2013. The 16th century Riverside Barn was , in its history , used to house cows, chickens and the local wainwright but now offers spacious accommodation to be enjoyed by all who visit. Upstairs there are two ensuite bedrooms , a double with a Juliette balcony with a river view and a twin room together with a landing/reading area. Downstairs is an open plan lounge/dining room with seating for four and a well equipped kitchen with separate utility/ cloakroom. As well as the main private access there is a rear door leading to the sunny terrace for relaxation and alfresco dining. There is also direct access onto the river which offers great fishing ( permits available on line).
Having viewed many properties in our quest the Riverside Barn was by far the most stunning and the only property we said we would be proud in which to accept guests. Come and see for yourselves.
Having holidayed in France in our camper van for many years we have followed our dream and moved full time to France. We fell in love with the area, the village ,the main house and the Barn on our first visit and are looking forward to our new adventure. The Barn has been successfully rented out since 2013 and gained fantastic reviews from the previous owners, we have even been guests ourselves so appreciate the high standards. We look forward to welcoming you and maintains those high standards previously offered with a few of our own touches we think you might like.
La Trimouille is on the banks of the river Benaize and there are many marked walking trails to help you discover the area. In the village there is a collectors museum including toys, model cars and much more to enjoy.
