Agay, located in one of the most beautiful harbours on the coast between Cap Dramont and Pointe de la Baumette, is the natural way in to the Esterel. It offers three fine sandy beaches and a terrace area with access to the sea from the rocks. Very protected, it was appreciated by sailors (Agay means "favourable" in Greek).

Agay is a paradise where even the dust is perfumed...
A little history....
With the arrival of the railway in 1860, many artists stopped over in Agay: the painter Louis Valtat, the composer Vincent d'Indy, the writers Guy de Maupassant and Maurice Donnay stayed there as well as Saint-Exupéry (do not miss the Fountain for the Little Prince, made to in his honour). Albert Cohen located part of Belle du Seigneur's action there.
Well protected between Cap Dramont and Pointe de la Baumette, the Agay harbour is a natural entry point to the Esterel massif. Its configuration makes it a very popular place for sailors (Agay also means "favourable" in Greek). You will enjoy its three fine sandy beaches, the summit of Rastel and its red rocks.
