Eskbank Villa is a handsome, large, sandstone house built in 1826. The Victorian facade is south west facing with large bay windows letting in bright sunshine.

2 wood burning stoves are great for cooler evenings. The Green Egg BBQ on the terrace enables you to have alfresco meals whenever you wish. You can gently sway in the hammock whilst chatting with family and friends on the outdoor sofas.
The games room with table tennis or pool table, piano, guitars + TV is great to hang out.
Rain head showers in the bathrooms + stylish decor beckon you. The ensuite has a Japanese TOTO which is also a bidet at the touch of a button and underfloor heating maintains an ambient temperature.

We would love you to soak up the surroundings and go home feeling relaxed, energised and having had a fabulous time. We can provide lots of information on things to do, places to see, restaurants, etc so please ask us so we can fill you in. We love living here and have just opened it up to guests to enjoy during the summer months and Christmas and New Year. Hogmanay in Edinburgh is such a fabulous time with amazing fireworks, concerts, entertainment and celebrations along with many special places to eat and drink.
Morrisons supermarket is just 5 mins walk through King's Park & Tesco is a 2 min drive away. Petrol is found at Tesco supermarket also.
Ithaas Indian restaurant is just a 5 min walk to Dalkeith High St and there is a Dominoes Pizza takeaway as well as fish n chip shops in the high street.
Macdonalds & Greggs is 5 mins drive away or 15 mins walk.
Restoration Yard at Dalkeith country park offers wonderful walks, Fort Douglas outdoor adventure play for under 11's and Go-Ape for bigger kids. It has a cafe and shop with individual artisans.
Gorgeous beaches of North Berwick or Whitecraig are just minutes away, highly recommended with a picnic & blanket. 3 nice golf courses are within easy reach, Newbattle only 5 mins walk. The lovely Dalkeith Country Park is just 5 mins by foot and offers delightful walks around the Duke of Bucceuch's estate plus a lovely cafe, restaurant & shop. There is Ryze at Newtongrange for Indoor trampoleening. An outdoor dry ski slope is at Hillend, just 15 mins by car. Europe's largest indoor climbing arena is at Ratho, Newbridge, only minutes by car. A lovely day out is a trip to see The Kelpies at Falkirk & whilst there take in the amazing Falkirk wheel. Nearer to home is the Newtongrange mining museum which tells the history of our area. Roslyn Chapel is an amazing historic site which was the inspiration for the Da Vinci Code books. There is also a beautiful walk along Roslyn Glen. Vogrie Country park just 15 mins away offers walks, a cafe & play park for little ones. Edinburgh City is just 20 mins drive or 30 mins on the No.3 bus and it offers a huge array of attractions especially during the Festival in August, a not to miss experience.
