This luxury holiday bunkhouse in the Afan Valley is a fantastic venue for bringing together family and friends, for mountain bikers and other retreats, and for corporate and special interest groups for midweek stays. It's also a great base for activity weekends, and popular with mountain bikers with a wide range of cycling routes to sample from the door. And it's fantastic value!
Scandi style bedrooms in a corridor that used to be the chapel aisle are all about the warm tones of Wiltshire larch walls, floors and beds. The rooms and bunk bed layout is carefully designed so as to avoid compromising the full effect of the windows. There are 6 contemporary ensuites rooms all sleeping 4 in a single bed and a triple bunk. One room has a triple bunk and a sofa bed. Sleeps 30-34 across the entire BunkHouse.
There is a connecting apartment within the bunkhouse:
The Gallery Apartment sleeps 6-9 with kitchen, dining, lounge and 2 shower rooms. Guest will sleep in one bunk, one triple bunk and one double. There are also two futons for additional guest.
The Gallery apartments have Velux windows for natural lighting and beautiful views of the mountains/ valleys. You can actually hear the nearby river if you open the velux window that is located in the gallery apartment. Nice views also!
Afan Forest Bunkhouse feels much more luxurious than a typical bunkhouse - this architect-designed chapel conversion is an absolute triumph. A fantastic light filled open plan communal space has been created, while managing to retain the beauty of many original features. This bunkhouse has plenty of green credentials too with solar panels and a ventilation system in every room.
